I want to be a normal little sister

Today, I came across some notes from a conversation Ruby and I had about a year ago:

On the way to school, Ruby said, “I wish my sister was normal…”

“I do too," I said, "I wish she were normal.”

“… because I want to annoy her and give her a hard time like little sisters do.”

“You want her to be normal, so you can annoy her?” I asked.

“I wish I could be a normal little sister, too.”
